Not really opposites, but very different in purpose.



Gemini is designed to communicate openly with people; their universal charter is use communication to build bridges between other people.



Scorpios job is different. They are essentially there to dig beneath the surface of everything, bring out the bad stuff, destroy it, and recreate good stuff out of it.



So, from a very narrow view, it might appear that Gemini is very extroverted while Scorpio is very introverted, but there's much much going on there.
I don't think Gemini and Scorpios are the most different signs of zodiac. I think Leo and pisces are the most different. Everything about Leo says "I'm here!" Center of attention and cocky. No. You'll have to examine a few aspects in their charts to come to the conclusion that they are the most different signs of the zodiac.e.g. I'm a scorpio with my sun and lots of other planets in the third house, the house of gemini, that makes me instantly compatible with geminis.
