Is there any proof that Zodiac Horoscopes are accurate?

This is like Christianity; 'faith' is all that's supporting you.

Do you have any proper evidence birth during certain star signs can determine your persinality? Is there any proof that Zodiac Horoscopes are accurate?
The strange thing is that people WANT astrology to be real. To be programed like a computer is more desirable than having freewill. If anyone could prove that astrology does anything better than random chance, a million dollars is waiting. Along with some other trivial things like a Nobel prize. It would be a greater event than man landing on the moon. It is that big of a deal.

But worst thing about astrology is not the total lack of evidence. Astrology is a fate of birth discrimination. Just like racism and sexism. No one choose their race, sex, and nationality. Nor does anyone choose when to be born. For believers of astrology, their bigotry is better than the other types. this bias is even encouraged to be used against fellow believers.

The reality is this: If it is not science, it is superstition.

"If you are in possession of this revolutionary secret of science, why not prove it and be hailed as the new Newton? Of course, we know the answer. You can't do it. You are a fake."

Richard Dawkins
Astrology is just more than horoscopes and sun signs! Sun sign astrology is an oversimplified method for the masses, an over-vulgarization of a huge complicated and complex methodology.

Reading a clock with more than 10 hands (the planets/bodies and points each with their own cycle in a horoscope wheel) that trigger an event (the bim-bam so to speak) is something not every single person can do. It's even possible and likely that no human being can do so because our brains and frequency range have their limits.

Numerous studies have been conducted regarding astrology but, unfortunately, they al stuck in the sun sign theories so that virtually no single (reliable) study is conducted regarding real astrology with all its complexities.

Paul Westran (a former crime analyst) has done a splendid job in finding out when couples come together, based on the (secondary) progressions. If you want some proof that astrology works, study his findings! The Danish astrologer Sven Frederik Svensson has made it his lifetime job to research the tertiary directions during the time of marriage and found statistically highly significant results. Tamisa van Pelt researched psychological assessments and found validation in the way real astrological principles work. Alexandra Mark has found statistically significant results in synastrical aspects and the same holds true for the Dutch Medical Doctor Fred Opmeer who has researched millions of birth data with the help of the Dutch Demographic Institute and found statistical results regarding marriages and divorces. Also, the controversial study by the late Gunter Sachs has been found valid in many ways when his work was reproduced in France.

There are numerous and numerous studies more, but keep in mind that not a single study can take all the astrological principles and methods into account because no computers and even no human brains can analyze so much events/configurations that are to be taken into account.

That's why it's so easy to say astrology does not work -- in most instances astrology is confused with the astrologer who is still a human being and thus also limited to his/her own knowledge, condition, etc and he/she does not know it all, or might not apply all the rules satisfactorily.

It's the same with health issues and medical doctors (and with lawyers, psychologists etc...): every MD will tell you something else, will give another drugs or remedy -- they don't know it all, do their best within their own mindset, living environment and conditions (I would not trust an MD who has marital problems, is often drunk and has financial issues -- but that's reality and how things go on planet earth and when consulting an MD you even won't know who he really IS!).

On planet earth nothing is scientific (i.e. static and linear), everything is dynamic and non-linear. Nature's laws are still unknown even if "scientists" think they know them. Unfortunately, the so-called laws also change -- from generation to generation, even when "scientists" won't admit this and stay firm in their often dogmatic belief. BUT YOU should know better.

It's not up to others to say it's right or wrong. YOU will have to find out for yourself.

By growing older and slowly gaining insight in how things go on planet earth, the evidence that in every-day events things are cyclic, there are patterns emerging, etc. etc. you just will know that astrology works (not necessarily horoscopes). Is there any proof that Zodiac Horoscopes are accurate?
Well there are few predictions that have come true. But I take it as a probabilistic science, just like statistics. Statistics is used in stock markets, insurance industry etc. so why not for personal predictions? :)

Although, 12 zodiac signs is a bit simplistic for me. I try Vedic Indian astrology at this website, they provide free birth chart:

Hope that helps :)
Do you have proof astrology isn't accurate? I mean, have you actually studied astrology? Not horoscopes, but proper astrology - have you really looked into what it could offer and what astrologers claim it offers? It's not faith based, and it does not have the same psychological references as religion does. It's entirely different.

The only proof we have are the people who have their chart done and agree with it... which is why it's kinda a tabboo subject. I have yet to do someone's birth chart with unsuccessful results. Its one of those things that works... we just can't explain how. Like Science itself, i suppose. We use it because we know it works, but we don't really know why it works, do we? We know how... but not why. People are too quick to criticize the concept of astrology because it holds no logic, and the thought of it being true would indicate some mythical, almost magical ability within the world - which would be ridiculous right? People get astrology confused with horoscopes - the ones you find at the back of magazines that suggest the same thing will happen to everyone of that sign, and that they'll all like the same thing. That is NOT what astrology is. It is not like Christianity, where you use faith to believe in it. People believe in it because those who have studied it can relate to it. If you ask me there is more proof that astrology is real than there is proof that God or religion is real. If it was such a stupid concept, then why does everyone know at least their sun/star sign? Scientists themselves are baffled by it, they don't register it as a science because they can't technically link it to anything 'real' in todays standards. But those who have tried it see at least some truth in it.
Of course they are accurate, do you not see 1/12 of the population all doing the same thing at the same time? When one person falls in love with a 7 foot black man from Norway, 1/12 of the population does too!!
Well, Carl Jung and Freud did use astrology while coming up with theories about personality. Read the encyclopedia of astrology. it will answer your question.
