they aren't really roles. They're just nicknames for the signs. It's like when you have the black sheep of the family. that doesn't mean every other single member is going to have a specific title.

Leo, Sagittarius, and Capricorn pretty much rule it. Leo is the king of the jungle - huge power and presence. Sagittarius is ruled by the biggest planet Jupiter and has the most luck and biggest personality. Capricorn is the father of the Zodiac.
Well it depends on the category but I will give you all the rolls I can remember.



Aries;

The courageous one. Yes, the pioneer. Also the competitor and the baby of the Zodiac signs.



Taurus;

The dependable one. The organizer. The possessor. (I have ___, it is mine.)



Gemini;

The responsive one. The brain stormer. The thinker. He is the schizophrenic of the signs, constantly changing his mind and/or emotions.



Cancer;

The loyal one. The feeler. The Cancer is the nurturer, yes the mother, of the Zodiac.



Leo;

The exuberant one. The star of the Zodiac. Also known as the royal one, for his or her selfishness as WELL as great generosity.



Virgo;

The analyzer. The prissy sign. The critical one of the Zodiac.



Libra;

The charmer (also known as the harmonizer.). The seducer. The Casanova of signs, if you will. The sign of harmony and charm.



Scorpio;

The desirous one. (I desire you, you desire me.) The manipulator. They are known as the "Volcano's" of the zodiac, for they have a passion of hot fire boiling underneath what appears to be a calm rocky mountain. He is the sign of passion.



Sagittarius;

The explorer. The sign of expansion. The role of the salesman. He is the optimistic one. Also the daredevil.



Capricorn;

The pursuer (he achieves what he wants). The executive. The serious one of the Zodiac.



Aquarius;

The friend, for he is the most social. Also the sign of the genius OR the sign of the lunatic ... for his mind is most active and can go either way.



Pisces;

The daydreamer. The believer. The compassionate one.
