How exactly does this new zodiac change only affect people born after 2009?

Does it not affect all of us? I'm confused to hell at the momentHow exactly does this new zodiac change only affect people born after 2009?
It doesn't affect anyone. This is nothing new and hopefully the "Ophiuchus/new zodiac sign dates" will blow over.
It's actually really simple. The sun and earth's alignment has finally changed. If you were born before the change of the realignment, your zodiac sign isn't going to change! If you were born in 1993 and were born a Leo; I can assure you that you STILL ARE a leo(:The alignment didn't change until after you were born, so it's not going to affect anythingHow exactly does this new zodiac change only affect people born after 2009?
It affects everyone alive now. The people who are saying that it doesn't affect people born before 2009 are saying that because they don't understand the change and/or they are emotionally attached to the sign they believed they belonged to and/or they think their old sign fits their personality better.

There was not a change in the relationship between the sun and the earth in 2009 or just now; it's a gradual rotation that has been going on since the earth formed. This has been known for years. The astronomer who mentioned it to the news reporter who made it into the big news it is today described the earth's rotation like a wobbling top, where the axis changes directions as it spins. The earth's axis spins gradually, making one rotation every 26,000 years or so, so the constellations move with respect to the earth.

The basis of your astrological sign is the constellation that the sun appeared to be in front of at the time you were born. Because of this rotation of the constellations, the signs have moved with respect to the sun since the zodiac was conceived 3,000 years ago. If a person alive today was born on April 6, they would consider themselves an Aries, although the sun was not actually in front of Aries when they were born, but Pisces.

If astrological philosophy is correct, your personality is based on the constellation behind the sun when you were born, so an April 6 baby born in the last 100 years certainly, and probably before that, would rightly be called a Pisces.

This does bring into question (as if it needed to be questioned) the legitimacy of zodiac signs in the first place; if almost everyone's sign has been off for centuries or more, why hasn't anyone noticed? Shouldn't everyone's horoscope have been wrong? That's aside from the issue of why the constellation behind the sun when you were born would have any effect on your personality in the first place.
actually if anyone actually did the research they would know that it only changes if you do not follow the tropical zodiac which is based off of seasons and last time i checked our seasons have not changed. most westerners follow the tropical zodiac so there is no need to panic. How exactly does this new zodiac change only affect people born after 2009?
The realness of the situation is time has changed...these after 2009 these babies born into this new time maybe born into a new level of consciousness....how this may be possible I dont know..matter fact I just made that up so....what the hell is gonna happen to horoscopes and those people who got tatts of their sign are **** outta luck if it changed...crazy times, whats next...new world order, one currency, "aliens"...

their saying the reason it's supposed to only affect those born after 2009 is because Ophiuchus the new sign has only been visible on our horizon since 2009..granted the constellation has always been there just not visible
your zodiac is the sign under which you were BORN. if you were born when the previous zodiac was still in action your sign does not change. although i dont believe or acknowledge the new one, i mean FIRE AND WATER come on thats unfair :P
God i hope it won't effect on us Micheal, i will always be a Scorpio...My new zodaic sign is Virgo
